We built Somedays so you can save places, plan trips, and keep your inspiration organized — without feeling like you’re being watched. When you use the app, a small amount of information may pass through our systems (for example, when you paste a link or turn on optional sync). This page explains what that involves, what stays on your phone, and what you can always do about it.
In one sentence: Somedays is local-first. Your places, collections, and trips live on your device. We don’t run analytics or ad trackers, and we don’t sell your data.
What you choose to give us. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple shares an account identifier with us. We don’t see your Apple ID password. We only receive your email if you explicitly choose to share it with us.
What passes through automatically. When you paste a link so we can extract places, that URL is sent to our server for processing. We use it to return place information and then discard it — we don’t keep a log of the links you submit.
Optional cloud data (Pro). If you subscribe to Pro and enable sync, your places and collections are stored in our cloud database (Supabase) so you can use them on other devices. That data is tied to the anonymous identifier from Sign in with Apple, not your name.
Payments. Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. We never see or store your card or payment details.
We use this information only to run the app: extract places from links, optionally sync your library, and respond if you write to us. We don’t use it for advertising and we don’t build a marketing profile from your usage.
To show ratings and photos for places, we send place names to Google’s Places API. How Google handles that data is described in Google’s privacy policy. That’s the only routine third-party processing tied to place details.
On your phone. You can delete all local data from Settings, or export everything as JSON first if you like a copy.
In the cloud. If you’ve used Pro sync and want your server copy removed, email us — we’ll delete your cloud data.
Somedays isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
We take care with how we handle data, but no online service is perfect. If we ever change what we collect or how we use it, we’ll update the date at the top of this page so you can see what’s new.
Questions or a request about your data? We’re at feedback@somedays.app.
